One of the most common questions I’m asked from home buyers is, when you see a house that is “Under Offer”, what does that mean and can you still make offers on the house?
“Under Offer” means that an offer has been accepted on the house, but there are conditions that need to be met before they can mark it as 100% sold, such as subject to finance or a building and pest inspection. The vendor cannot accept any other offers at this time.
If you see a house you really like but it is under offer, it may be worth contacting the agent and letting them know you are interested if the original offer doesn’t go through. However, it is rather rare that this would happen, so continuing to look at other available homes will give you a better chance at securing a property sooner. Happy hunting!
